PROVENANCE

Every work has a record.

HOUR1207 treats provenance as part of the artwork itself.

Collectible releases are documented through edition information, production specifications and studio authentication.

For Archive 1/1 works, only one physical edition is created. No additional physical edition will be produced. Once acquired, that physical edition is permanently closed.

HOUR1207

AUTHENTICITY

Every collectible release is developed, curated and issued under the direction of HOUR1207 Studio.

Edition structure, production specifications and documentation are controlled before release.

Archive 1/1 works are created as a single physical edition.

Once collected, that edition does not return.

This distinction protects the integrity of the collector’s work and preserves the meaning of the release.

CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY

Selected collectible works are accompanied by an official HOUR1207 Certificate of Authenticity.

The certificate records the essential information connected to the work, including artwork title, edition number, print size, paper type, date of issue and artist attribution.

The final certificate accompanies the physical artwork and forms part of its documented provenance. It includes the artist’s original digital signature as part of the official authentication record; no handwritten pencil signature is used unless explicitly stated for a specific release.

HOUR1207 works with original studio-created photography, design and visual compositions, licensed creative materials, and selected generative or AI-assisted processes. Where third-party materials are used, the applicable rights remain with their respective rights holders.

The studio claims intellectual property rights only where such rights are legally available under applicable law and the relevant license terms.

This approach follows the HOUR1207 Intellectual Property & Content Use policy.

EDITION STRUCTURE

ARCHIVE 1/1

One physical print issued by HOUR1207.

Once acquired, the edition is permanently closed. HOUR1207 will not produce, issue or sell another physical edition of the same artwork.

Any replacement is subject to the safeguards stated on the individual product page and replaces the original within the existing edition.

LIMITED EDITIONS

A predetermined number of physical works released within a defined edition.
Where individual numbering applies, this is stated on the product page.
Once the edition is complete, no additional works are added to that release.

STUDIO EDITIONS

Design objects and selected works created within the evolving HOUR1207 studio collection.

*The edition structure is always stated on the individual product page.

MATERIAL & PRODUCTION

Physical works are produced through selected professional production partners according to specifications defined by HOUR1207 Studio.

Paper, framing, glazing, scale and presentation are selected individually for each work.

For fine-art releases, the emphasis is on archival materials, controlled production and presentation suitable for long-term display.

The studio retains creative direction throughout the process.

PACKAGING NOTE

Some HOUR1207 clock editions are currently supplied in the production partner’s standard protective white packaging.

Custom HOUR1207 presentation packaging is part of the studio’s future development, but it is not yet available for every product format.

We prefer to state this clearly rather than suggest a packaging experience that does not yet exist.

QUALITY CONTROL

Every HOUR1207 release is reviewed as a complete object — not only as an image.

Scale, framing, finish, presentation and final production details are considered before a work enters the collection.

If a detail does not meet the studio standard, the release is paused or revised before it is allowed to remain part of HOUR1207.

PRODUCTION PARTNERS

THE ARCHIVE

Some works existed before HOUR1207 had a name.

The archive preserves selected photographs, experiments and compositions created across earlier periods of the artist’s practice.

When an archival work enters physical production for the first time, its history remains part of the object.

Past work.

New physical presence.

Before the Hour.

HUMAN DIRECTION. DIGITAL TOOLS.

HOUR1207 combines studio-led art direction, photography, digital reconstruction and generative technologies where they serve the work.

Artistic direction and responsibility for the final release remain with the individual artist or creator. For works involving generative technologies, intellectual property rights are claimed only to the extent legally recognized, as described in the HOUR1207 Intellectual Property & Content Use policy.

Composition, selection, refinement, material choice, edition structure and final release remain guided by human creative direction.

Some works begin with photography.
Some with digital construction.
Some evolve through generative development and extensive post-production.

Individual works may be created by HOUR1207 Studio or by selected artists working within the studio’s curatorial framework.

Authorship and artist attribution are stated transparently for each collectible release.

What matters is not the tool. What matters is the final presence of the work.

CREATIVE

PROCESS

HOUR1207 works with studio-created photography and designs, licensed imagery and AI-generated visuals. Each approach is identified in the “Concept and Creative Process” section of the relevant product page.

What does “AI-generated” mean?

The image was generated using artificial intelligence under the studio’s direction. HOUR1207 selects the final image and prepares it for use on the product. An entirely AI-generated image is described as such.

What does “AI-generated with manual retouching” mean?

The image began with AI generation and was subsequently edited by hand. These changes may include adjustments to details, shadows, colour or composition. The description reflects the work actually carried out.

What does “licensed artwork” mean?

The source image comes from a third-party creator or collection and is used under a license permitting the relevant use. HOUR1207 selects the image and prepares its product presentation. Rights in the source artwork remain with their respective rights holders.

What does “original studio work” mean?

In our product descriptions, this identifies the studio’s own human-created photography, artwork or visual design. It is distinct from our categories for licensed imagery and AI-generated work.

Do these descriptions refer to the entire product?

These descriptions refer exclusively to the artwork, image, or visual design applied to the product, not to the physical product, its construction, or manufacturing.
